Preparing for the debut of Kindred
Monday, October 19, 2009 at 05:31PM SistaPAC Productions was founded in the summer of 2004 with a mission to create works that portray women of color more realistically and with more dimension; to provide more creative opportunities for talent and crew of color to contribute and collaborate on creative projects; and to provide ownership of the projects which we develop.
We are now pleased to announce the launch of its largest project to date – a webisode series entitled Kindred. Dramatic. Engrossing. Chaotic. Kindred explores the lives of three twenty-something African-American women who are first cousins, as they navigate family, work and love against the gritty skyline of New York City.
Kindred is slated to launch in late November 2009, with an online debut along with a launch premiere event to be held in New York City. There will be six webisodes slated to rollout over an 8-week period for Season 1. A beta version of the site is live to allow for pre-buzz and promotional efforts at www.kindredseries.com. A teaser video is available now, with the full trailer being made available in late October.
We been working day and night, weekdays and weekends, literally every waking moment to get this project completed and out to you, our fans! We'll have more updates to come every week, as we lead up to the launch. In the meantime, here's how you can support us:
